It was fun to put together other than at the end I was short a black Ohio star block and several of the red string blocks. I figured at some point my "assistants" might have grabbed them and I was just getting ready to cut more pieces when I realized that in the beginning I made one of each block and put them on my wall. I did come up short on one red string block and had to make it.
This is how it looked just seconds after the first photo......I think they approve! This is a little busier than I thought it would be and I can't wait to see the ones others have done with different colors! I think next year I will get daring and change my colors when Bonnie Hunter does another mystery quilt. I wonder how many pieces are in this quilt......lots of little pieces.
Be sure to check out what others are working on!

Wow Connie! It looks great. I had to laugh at the missing blocks. Sounds totally like something I'd do.
I just love your little 'helpers' too. They appear to be helping quite alot.
I hope you had a great Christmas and didn't party too much over New Years.
Wow, beautiful work already made !
Wow Connie, you pieced that together quickly. It's looking fantastic! It certainly has got a lot of pieces in it - I only have one row put together - hoping to get a full day on it today.

This is so beautiful! What an accomplishment, especially to make it over the Christmas season. I'd be curious to know how many hours it took. Yay you!
silly cats! they give it their seal of approval!!
The quilt is lovely! This is exactly what our cats do to my quilts when laid out. Hey, visit my blog at least once if you will... I have a quilting linky that will start in a few weeks, you may (or maynot) be interested! Happy New Year!
I really like it so far. I'm sure your "helpers" don't mind getting to "work" with you as often as they can.
Wow, it looks amazing! So much piecing of tiny cuts. What an accomplishment!
That is gorgeous!! Love your little assistants, they look like they really like it too. I don't have any assistants and I'm missing a couple of string blocks as well :)

Great job! I can't believe that you are almost finished---it looks fantastic. You are an inspiration to me to keep plugging along.
It really is beautiful! I used Bonnie's colours as well but I am not as far along - only on step 6.

It really looks gorgeous! I can see that those helpers could make things challenging.
Nice work! I think this is one of her prettiest mysteries! Love the quilt 'testers' too. Mine are of the caninen variety and one likes to CHEW fabric. THAT gets him the dog house...LITTERALLY! lolol
This is a wonderful quilt. It looks like your "helpers" are hard a work!

There is no higher praise for a quilt than Kitty Approval. I love the way your colors work with this quilt. I save all of the steps for Bonnie's mystery quilts, but have been too chicken to try one.
Just beautiful Connie!! Love how it came out and how your 'assistants' are enjoying your work!!!! :o)
So many little pieces, you don't think about it until you keep track from the beginning. Wow!
And the kitties clearly love it.
What a great looking quilt. All those little pieces turned out pretty darn beautiful
Cute little helpers...
Looks fabulous!
Love your furry helpers! And the quilt is fabulous too!
Oh, wow, it is beautiful! (and so are the little helpers!) Sure am glad it was YOU doing it, not me. I followed along & saved all the directions, but the more she explained, the happier I was that I wasn't doing it! WHEW! But yours is spectacular!!
Connie, love, love, love how your Orca Bay is turning out! You helpers are pretty cute too. Congratulations on keeping up so well!
It's gorgeous Connie---cats and all. You are so fast! Have a great week.
Beautiful! It almost makes me wish I had tackled the project too.
Very pretty. And with all that help you're getting you should be finished in no time.
love your orca bay-especially the black&white Ohio star blocks.
Your Orca Bay is spectacular, and your helpers look very discriminating.
Love your Orca Bay quilt! It's great to have such able assistants, too.
Connie,
I like how your quilt has turned out, I like the colors a lot, that little bit of blue makes it sparkle. I love the kitties also, they are too cute!
Very nice... I like yours a lot and part of that is because you used really white rather than ecru or beige... nice job!
Wonderful quilt, Connie. It looks grand! Love your little 'helpers' -- lol -- too cute!
OMGosh but you managed to get this together quickly! Glad you found your MIA blocks.
Hugs,
