The border went together very well. I did have my seam ripper handy and had to use it after I sewed one of the borders on with the black facing the quilt instead of out. I don't use a lot of pins normally but with all the string pieces and other small pieces I used quite a few pins on the borders and it worked great. Simon approves.
I had the quilt folded up and my dad called me in to ask if I had put Bella in the quilt........nope, she had to check it out too.
She is just too funny!
I decided to work on piecing my Roll, roll, cotton boll UFO from last year which was another mystery quilt by Bonnie Hunter. I must have decided to make it smaller as I was short 2 rows. I decided to go ahead and put it together at this size instead of putting it back in the UFO pile. I just need to put the border pieces on and the quilt it.
The kitties aren't being very helpful...... I am going to use this for my Scrap Attack quilt so it gets finished by the end of March.Check out Judy's blog to see what everyone else has on their design wall and check the other blogs at Sew Darn Crafty.

Connie these quilts are gorgeous! You should be so proud of yourself - and obviously the kitties agree with me!
Connie, it is a stunning quilt. I've seen it from start to finish and it's remarkable. I love the second quilt top. That's another gorgeous finish to look forward to.
Connie you are so clever they look fantastic, well done.
Both are really wonderful.
Wow Connie....those are just beautiful. Really, really nice. You've been hard at work! Can't wait to see them quilted with your beautiful quilting!
Great job getting the Orca Bay assembled! Isn't it a great quilt! I love seeing the pictures of your kitties...so cute!
love the Orca Bay!! You have been a busy gal!!! (and the kitties are just trying to keep up with you! they have jobs to do, too!! Right!) LOL
LOVE both your Bonnie quilts! And look at the kitties, they love them too!
Both quilts are beautiful! Your pictures gave me a chuckle.
Connie, your quilts are simply beautiful! You did so well to do every step in a timely manner and you have a masterpiece as a result! I also love the second quilt...go girl!
You did a great job on these quilts. What a great way to start 2012.
Both of your quilts are beautiful. Cats are just too funny. They have to be in on everything.
Oh Connie, that went together fabulously! I love the border and the top is very cohesive and looks great. I have seen a few Orka Bay tops being worked on and they have not seemed to visually come together as well as this one... maybe it is just that they were still in parts and pieces. Great job!
Such pretty quilts! And, cat approved, too - LOL - too cute!
Both quilts are gorgeous. I love the border on Orca Bay and it looks like you have a few other admirers of the tops.
Both your mystery quilts are gorgeous! Great job getting the tops together.
No higher praise than 'cat approved' can be given. Orca Bay is fabulous! I love your color choices. If I can find the Roll Cotton Boll parts, I may join you in trying to get that one finished.
Your Orca Bay quilt is Beautiful!!! I love the colors and am so glad your helpers approve LOL! I love how they help you all the time and completely enjoy seeing their pictures too!
Both quilts are just great!
Both you quilts are great! The colors in OB look so good together. OMGosh, but you whipped OB out in a flash! Good for you.
I am still roaring with laughter over the kitty pictures. Just too CUTE for words!
Just fabulous!
Your quilts are just so beautiful Connie!!! Especially love the Orca Bay!!! TFS
Hi! Those are both so beautiful patterns and wonderful clours! I like to see your photos how your cats help you! Still I'm happy that Nelli is not so interested about my fabrics because she leaves lots of hairs.
Have a great week! x Teje
Hi Connie - your quilts look great. I still need to do my string blocks for Orca and I'll be working on those at our Guild Sit-n-Sew this weekend. I love how your cats tucked themselves into and under your quilts. Mine only attack from above :)
I love the rich colours of the orca quilt, it reminds me of a Persian rug, just beautiful.
Two beautiful quilts. You can't go wrong with a Bonnie Hunter mystery, although sometimes you wonder a bit before it's finished, it'll always be a beauty.
Great Orca Bay! I have a kitty quilt helper too... so cute!
